The Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM) 2026 will honour actor Pankaj Tripathi with the ‘Artist of Distinction’ title for his contribution to Indian cinema.
The National Award-winning actor will personally attend the Melbourne festival for the first time to receive the recognition.
IFFM 2026 is set to take place from August 13 to 23.
Rani Mukerji will also be honoured at the festival, receiving an Honorary Doctorate, with both actors headlining the edition.
Tripathi’s filmography includes Sultan Qureshi in Gangs of Wasseypur, Kaleen Bhaiya in Mirzapur, a National Award-winning role in Mimi, and roles in Newton, Stree, Masaan, OMG 2 and Main Atal Hoon.
