India will finalise their Test squad for the Sri Lanka tour with Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah's fitness under close watch ahead of the August 15 opener.

India are set to finalise their Test squad for the upcoming two-match tour of Sri Lanka, with Ravindra Jadeja’s fitness featuring prominently in the selection discussion.

The all-rounder has been nursing a tennis elbow injury sustained during IPL 2026, and there is no official update yet on his recovery status.

Jasprit Bumrah’s fitness is also being closely monitored by selectors. Both players sat out India’s one-off Test against Afghanistan.

Nonetheless, Jadeja is seen as a likely returnee to the side, given how valuable his all-round contributions could be against Sri Lanka.

The two-Test series kicks off with the opener in Galle on August 15, followed by the second Test in Colombo from August 23.

India go into the series ranked fifth in the World Test Championship standings.
